Prep. Time: 15 minutes or less
Ingredients:
• 2 cups self-raising flour
• 250 g butter at room temperature
• 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
• 2 cups caster sugar
• 4 eggs
• ¾ cup custard powder
• 1 cup milk
Method:
- Preheat at a fan forced oven to 160°C.
- Put all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix with electric mixer until just combined.
- Pour into lined 23 cm deep square tin. Cook 1 hour.
- Check cake with skewer. Sometimes it takes another 5 – 10 minutes to cook in the middle.
